Prof. Dr. Habibullah Pathan

I am currently working as Full Professor at the Centre of English Language and Linguistics, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro, Pakistan. I am also looking after a research Journal Repertus: Journal of Linguistics, Language Planning and Policy as Editor in Chief besides this, I am also heading a couple of international projects on teachers motivation and applied linguistics. I received Master's degree (M. Ed. ELT) and PhD in Applied Linguistics at the prestigious Russel group member university 'University of Glasgow, United Kingdom.' Later, I did my Postdoctoral research at the birth place of the field 'Modern Linguistics' and world's number one ranked university "the Department of Linguistics and Philosophy, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in USA. In addition, I am privileged to have worked under direct supervision of Prof. Noam Chomsky who is known as father of modern linguistics and the most influential intellectual alive in the world.

Later in 2015-2016, I received my leadership development training under the most prestigious Hubert H. Humphrey fellowship at Boston University, USA in the field of higher education administration, policy and planning and completed a 7 month certificate program in non-profit management and leadership at the Questrom School of Business, Boston University, USA. My focus was to study US model universities. To my credit, I have several research papers published in journals of national and international repute.

I have presented my research papers in international and national conferences in USA, UK, New Zealand, UAE, EURO ASIA and Pakistan as an invited and keynote speaker in broader field of English Language Education. I am the founder of the first ever research degree program and undergraduate program in language and linguistics at Mehran University – a first in the 50-year history of the university. I have also served as a member of both provincial and national curriculum review committees in Pakistan, Member Board of Studies/faculties at Mehran University and a Board Member at various other universities in Pakistan in addition to my role as supervisor of MPhil/PhD theses and member advisory board and reviewer of various research journals in Pakistan and overseas. I have authored a book titled Indus Identity: A study of textbooks in Pakistan. My two other books on My Days with Noam Chomsky and Language Motivation are in publication process. With the help of the HEC and my team, I have established the first ever Self Access Center at Mehran University, serving as a teacher- training hub in computer assisted language learning. In 2021 I was appointed as a member of Curriculum Advisory Committee Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training Education Government of Pakistan (Tasked to supervise overall National Curriculum Renewal Process). In May 2022, with the sponsorship of the National Academy of Higher Education, Higher Education of Pakistan, I have earned the title of AFHEA in recognition of attainment against the UK Professional Standards Framework for Teaching and Learning Support in Higher Education. I am also a member BoG at Linguistic Association of Pakistan.

Prof. Dr. M Asim Mahmood

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Asim Mahmood, appointed as Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Government College University Faisalabad in 2019, has been chairing the Department of Applied Linguistics since 2012. Holding a PhD in Linguistics from Bahauddin Zakariya University, he served as a visiting research associate at the University of Birmingham. Notably, he initiated the "Pakistan Journal of Language Studies" and established the first Corpus Centre/Language Lab at GCUF. He introduced Mphil and PhD programs in Applied Linguistics, supervising 70 Mphil and 10 PhD theses. With diverse research interests, he has authored two national and international books, led five international research projects, and published 95 research papers. He is also an HEC-approved supervisor for research work.

Prof. Dr. Rooh ul Amin

Dr. Rooh ul Amin is serving as the Professor and Head of the English Department at Rawalpindi Women University. Holding a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from The University of Memphis, USA, he has an extensive educational background. His research focuses on identity and power relationships in ESL classrooms, language variation in legal texts, leadership styles, linguistic landscapes, and language policy. Noteworthy achievements include winning the USAID's Pre-STEP Ph.D. Scholarship and TIRF's Doctoral Dissertation Grant. With administrative roles in various institutions, he has supervised six Ph.D. and ten MS/Mphil students. Dr. Amin has various journal publications, led research projects worth millions, and actively contributed to language education policies in Pakistan through workshops and conferences.

Prof. Dr. Ayesha Sohail

Dr. Ayesha Sohail is an experienced academic professional serving as the Professor in the Department of English at the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (UAJK). With over 27 years in higher education, she did her PhD in Applied Linguistics from the University of Sheffield in 2011, specializing in Conversation Analysis. Her expertise includes TEFL, Linguistics, Pragmatics, Communication Skills, Discourse Analysis, Sociolinguistics, and language documentation. She has held roles as a Registrar and a Dean at UAJK, showcasing her administrative and leadership skills. Committed to fostering equity, diversity, and inclusion, she is dedicated to empowering students and faculty to achieve their academic and professional goals.

Prof. Dr. Mamona Khan

Dr. Mamona Yasmin Khan is a dynamic and highly motivated professional with a broad skill set, specializing in research and providing guidance to graduate and post-graduate researchers. Currently serving as the Registrar and Chairperson of the Department of English at The Women University Multan, she demonstrates a commitment to continuous professional development. Driven by her belief in fostering a collaborative environment, she is recognized as a team-builder, adept at cultivating strong relationships with students and colleagues. She created an atmosphere conducive to mutual sharing, understanding, and the seamless transfer of knowledge, contributing to a positive and productive academic community.

Prof. Dr. Sajida Zaki

Dr. Sajida Zaki is a Professor of English and Applied Linguistics & Chairperson, Department of English Linguistics and Allied Studies, NED University of Engineering & Technology. She has a rich, professional career that spans over 25 years with experiences as Higher education professional, an ELT, Teacher educator, administrator, and researcher. She is credited with the successful launch of bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree programs in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics at the NED University besides revamping the Humanities, Social Sciences, Research, and English language and Communication courses across undergraduate and postgraduate programs university-wide. As a senior academic has been affiliated with university level academic policy development and implementation. She has supervised thirty-four MS research projects in varied areas of English Language, Linguistics, and Applied Linguistics with four successful doctoral theses on important applied linguistics topics. She is an active researcher with numerous journal publications, conference presentations, and book chapters. She received a visiting professor fellowship at Heidelberg University, Germany in 2014 and completed a Visiting International Professional Residency Program at Michigan State University in 2022 as part of the Pakistan Senior Higher Education Women Leadership Program 2022-2023. She recently represented NED University as part of the Educators Delegation to Sichuan Normal University, China in October 2023. She has won several project grants from national and international funding bodies and successfully implemented during 2019 to 2023 three large community and youth development programmes. She is serving various private and public universities' statutory and academic boards and is affiliated with national and international journals as a member of the advisory and editorial boards.

Dr. Shamim Ali

Dr. Shamin Ali as Associate Professor in the Department of English Linguistics and Literature at Riphah International University Islamabad, boasting an impressive career spanning over 25 years in university-level teaching. Her commitment to nurturing the full potential of university students is evident through a distinguished record of publications in prestigious academic journals worldwide. She is not only a proponent of traditional face-to-face teaching methods, but also demonstrates expertise in conducting engaging online classes. A key strength lies in her adeptness in curriculum design and development, where she leverages blended learning methods to enhance student engagement. She is not only dedicated to academic pursuits but also actively engages as a partner in university programs and outreach events, contributing to the promotion of learning and community support. She has written more than 700 poems and 10 poems are awarded as winning poems. She has written 4 study guides for the curriculum of Allama Iqbal Open University Islamabad and 2 books which are going to be published soon. Prof. Dr. Qaisar Khan

Dr Qaiser Khan is working as Professor of English in the Department of English Literature and Linguistics, University of Malakand. Currently, he is also a chairperson of the department. As a graduate student, he completed M.Phil degree from the University of Malakand and PhD in English Linguistics in Faculty of Higher Studies, National University of Modern Languages (NUML) Islamabad. During the course of PhD studies, he also remained a research fellow in the University of North Texas (UNT), USA, under NUML-UNT partnership. He has published several research articles in national and international journals. His areas of interest include language, gender, curriculum and education. His recent research endeavors are to understand the working and operation of madrasas (religious seminaries) and to investigate the scope and relevance of the English language in their curriculum with a view to reform and bring seminaries into the mainstream education system in Pakistan.

Prof. Dr. Mehwish Malghani

Dr. Mehwish Malghani, a prominent academic and educational leader from Balochistan, Pakistan, boasts an impressive career in teaching, research, and administration. Her academic journey reflects a deep commitment to knowledge, with a PhD in Linguistics from NUML, Islamabad, and Master's degrees in English Literature, English Education, and Social Sciences from renowned universities. Dr. Malghani's professional journey is equally remarkable. She currently holds the prestigious position of Professor at MCKRU, Sibi, while also serving as Dean of Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and Director of Postgraduate Studies Office. Previously, she held positions like Assistant Professor at SBK Women's University and Principal at both British Foundation School and Government Girls College Quetta Cantt.

Dr. Mehwish Malghani's dedication to research is evident in her successful grant-winning projects like "Digital Archiving of Literature on Mehrgarh Civilization" and "Folklore Documentation, A Case Study of Sibi's Oral Literature."
